Here you are in the centre of the southern Eastern Alps, where you can choose between several ski areas, all located at altitudes between 1500 and 3200 m and reachable within a short time! The closest ones are Sulden am Ortler, Trafoi, Watles or Schöneben. This means you can enjoy maximum variety.

A free ski bus stops directly in front of Pension Astoria and takes you to the cable cars in Sulden or Trafoi - use this service and leave your car parked.

Cross-country skiing enthusiasts and biathletes also get their money’s worth. There are perfectly prepared cross-country ski trails in Schlinig, Sulden or the Martell Valley, just to name a few.

The 6 km long Lake Resia has become a hotspot for speed skaters, ice sailors and snowkiters. There are also countless tour destinations around the Ortler for snowshoe hikers and ski tourers.

What could be better than warming and relaxing your tired muscles in the sauna after a fulfilling winter sports day?

For this, the highly recommended Sportzentrum Sportwell Mals in Mals (8 km) offers, in addition to a 25 m swimming pool, a wonderful sauna area with thermal bath, infrared sauna, steam bath, 2 Finnish saunas, Kelosauna and a beautiful relaxation area with water beds. There are also 3 indoor tennis courts, fitness rooms and bowling alleys available.

Another leisure pool - especially interesting for children - is the Aquaforum in Latsch (24 km), with outdoor pool and a 50 m water slide.
